snow

Awaking to snow is always kind of cool. It gives you that cozy, stay at home no worries kind of feeling, knowing you are stuck and so is everyone else! It still feels the same as when I was a kid and found out there was no school. SNOW DAY!

  1. This year has been a tough one for me with the loss of my fantastic mother and before that my wonderful dog. I embrace the season of Spring as the air warms and the plants sleeping all winter poke their shoots up to say hello. My work is full of good things. Wonderful customers, great employees and on top of that we get to provide tropical plants bringing oxygen and air filters and live art to people's environments. The green thumbs on my green team keep all those plants in tip top shape! And the patience of my team…. wow you wouldn't believe it!

Complainers. It's too hot, too cold, not sunny enough, too sunny, I hate yellow or purple or mums. Yikes! Given the last year I had these things hardly seem terribly important or real. Yet empathy is a part of my job. Maybe that person is having a hard time at home and releasing the tension in the form of a complaint. I think it's great when one can turn that conversation around with a positive spin. Kind of like when you're walking down the street smiling at something you're thinking about and a complete stranger sees you smile and reactively smiles back. Causing you to smile even more.

What you give out you get back.

So give someone a plant today. And a smile. Life is too short to worry about the small stuff.
